DMX In

Morning,
Looking at controlling SCS from our lighting desk in a more subtle fashion than just using a MIDI trigger for the Go button- idea is to free the sound operator from the chore of firing atmos beds and stupid little 1 shots so he can pay attention to the live elements but not put additional overhead on the lighting operator by giving him multiple buttons to think about (he's already got a laser to play with as well) . DMX IN looks like the future BUT (unless I've misunderstood the control settings) if we wanted to selectively trigger 100 cues we'd need to allocate 100 channels to do the job? (the DMX Cue # option isn't covered in the Help file, I'm assuming that if you allocate (say) channel 100 to play DMX Cue 0 and channel 200 as upper limit # then channel 101 going high would trigger DMX Cue 1 and so on).
Ta in advance for answers- it is a live show we're playing with
Regards,
Adam
