USB MIDI Interface Not Remembered (fix in 10.7.0)

I'm running SCS 10.6.2 and using a USB EMU MIDI 1X1 to control a lightboard. The problem is that every time I start SCS, I get a message that says no midi interface is configured, etc. I have to go into General Options/Permanent Options/MIDI Devices & Control and select the MIDI out. Is there anything I can do to have this setting remembered? I thought I had seen this in the forum before but I can't find it now.
Thanks,

I use a USB MIDI interface, but not that make.
Make sure you have plugged in the midi interface and given your computer time to find it before you start SCS.
I have no problems with it remembering if I do this.
Hope this Helps

Thanks for the reply. The computer has plenty of time to load the drivers. Still no luck. It's just an extra step I'd rather not have to deal with.

That's odd, Mike. I've sent you an email regarding the problem.

An update on this: Mike (Stokesberry) found that the problem went away after installing the latest driver for the USB EMU MIDI 1X1. After checking SCS trace files that were obtained prior to installing this driver, it was found that the problem was related to the original driver adding 3 spaces to the end of the published device name. Presumably the new driver has removed those trailing spaces.
I will apply a mod to SCS 10.7.0 to ignore any leading or trailing spaces when checking MIDI device names. SCS already does this for audio device names.
