Website "Remember Me" (fixed)

Post by jmgordon » Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:13 pm

I don't know whether it's just my computer but, without any change of settings by me, "Remember Me" no longer works when logging in, neither to the Forum nor to the Members' Area. This has occurred since your domain change, and is a little tedious, as I visit the Forum often. On each occasion I log in and check the box, without effect. Do I have to force a cookie change in some way? I have tried deleting all board cookies.

There was a problem with the Forum login, but I fixed that about 24 hours ago, so you should find the Forum now remembers your login. Let me know if this is still an issue. I'll look into the Members' Area login issue - probably some cookie setting I've overlooked (which is what the Forum problem was).

Member Area "Remember me" process fixed and enhanced - you are now logged in automatically (if you've selected "Remember me") instead of just having the login screen auto-populated.

OK, both the Forum and Members' Area work for me now, logging in automatically on a return visit, but not if I log out before closing the page on the previous visit. I can't remember now whether this is the usual procedure.

I've change the Members' Area login back to just 'remember login' - not 'auto login'. The 'auto login' was good, but if you log out then the user name and password is not pre-populated next time you go to the login screen. So overall it is probably easier to use without 'auto login'.

OK, thanks. Now working as expected.
