Show Cue System

I'm just a little confused......

I'm not the most experienced user but have done a few very successful shows.....
Using SCS 9.4.6

Doing 'Falling from Grace'
Show has :

Q1 - Preshow Playlist (ABBA!!) Fade out time 5 sec.
Q2 - 'Transition to Show' (MANUAL)
Q2(i) - Stop all Earlier Cues (after fade out) <<this should Kill Q1 ABBA>>
Q2(ii) - Audio File 'Girls just want to have fun'
Q3 - Stop Q2 after fade out (MANUAL)
Q4 - Next Cue

When I run this it works ok.... but the preshow playlist [ Q1(1), Q1 (2), etc are still in the play list (ie the bottom half of the screen - causes no problems but a pain!!)

Any ideas ??

Is the playlist still playing after Q2(i), albeit silently? Could you email me your cue file (the .scs file)? Various fixes to playlists have been applied in SCS 10, but I'm not aware of anything quite like what you've explained. The cue file should help.

What version of 10 are you running? If it's 10.2.0 or earlier, there were problems with playlists not terminating properly as Mike stated above which he fixed in later versions. This past winter, I used SCS in a production of "The Nutcracker" which included playlists for background music followed by regular audio file cues. SCS 10 worked faultlessly for every performance.

Forgot to mention that when all this plays, Q1 is still associated with the 'GO' button.

In that case, how do you run Q2?

I had a tech run tonight so made a few quick changes to 'dumb down' my plan and it worked a treat.
Now not planning to break a good plan !
