Hi have come up with an interesting fault . i am currently doing our christmas run which has been on since dec 9th and when i started i was using ver 10.3 and everything was okay . Then i upgraded to 10.3.1 during the run and for the first fue days everything was okay then i started getting a digital blip across the p.a it only lasts a second .but scs freezes for about 10 secs then goes back to normal , the rest of the computer keeps running then after that the midi function of the program no longer runs . i have a couple of midi commands on hot keys & a couple of group mutes for the o2r sound desk . The audio ques work & audio hot keys work . I am using an asus duo-core laptop windows xp pro , moto 828mk2 which is the midi interface and audio output device from laptop . when you move stuff on 02r desk you see midi light on moto unit flashing and to begin with the midi info on the info bar in scs but after the blip the light still flashes on moto but no info on scs bar . Any idea's ?
I finish the run on sat 10th jan 2009 and am going to do some more testing after that .
thanks polly1971 (paul Robertson)

Re: Loss of Midi during use of 10.3.1
I'd question whether SCS is the cause of the 'digital blip', especially as the program had been running OK for several runs, including using 10.3.1. Did the blip show up on the SCS VU meters?
Since you mention MIDI not working after the blip, I'm wondering if the blip is actually a MIDI event being routed (possibly incorrectly) to a software synth, such as the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth.
