desktop and laptop up graded from 9.5.3 to 10.3.1
Created .scs on desktop running XP pro, runs fine
copied .scs file show folder to laptop (Vista Home Premium) but for got to copy over a wav file.
This resulted in 'error 7 out of memory ' when starting scs
uninstalling and reinstalling scs with its own progs just gave the same error.
took laptop back to good restore point about 2 weeks before scs upgrade.
downloaded scs10comset again, installed and now gives following error

scs 10.3.1 error 339 Component " or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

copied show file to another laptop with xp pro and runs ok
checked wmp.dll file and associations ok
scs was running ok before I made this error
any suggestions before I set about reinstalling Vista , please

Seems odd. No logical reason why a missing WAV file should give you an 'out of memory' error, and the error 339 is strange as it doesn't identify the component. How much memory do you have on the Vista laptop?

thanks for your reply

reinstalled vista home premium installed all microsoft updates
loaded only scs10comset, fresh download
entered autherisation string, accepted ok
now gives Error 7 out of memory
tried running in XP2 compatability and as administrator, same error
Laptop is Sony Vaio VGN-FZ18E with 2.5gb ram

Luckily the programme runs ok on my old IBM T40 ( XP2 )so I can start the show run tonight.

any more thoughts as few thousand kids may be disapointed with their panto

Alan
