Hello,
is there a way for SCS to simply ignore missing devices ??
For ex: in a live set I have this setup:
- Behringer X32 as an audio card, SCS streaming some audio track through usb
- Behringer X32 connected with ethernet, receiving OSC commands
- Midi Remote controller connected via usb for start, stop cues
- Roland Fa08 connected via usb for start, stop cues
If I need to review my cuelist at home, I have no devices connected. SCS try to open devices and then asks me to review devicemap and apply. So I have to remove devices or assign to dummy midi port (for examples).
This is quite annoying. I don't undestand how to use devicemap saving function.
thanks.

Re: devicemap changes
I've had another user contact me about SCS raising the 'review device map' message after transferring a cue file. I'll look into this.
Re: devicemap changes
May be I am the other guy requested improvements into device map setup and save.
I wish to suggest a possible way to fix this.
Create optional dummy devices for ALL device types: Audio, Audio for vídeo, live inputs, Input Groups, Control Send and Cue control .
And Save the setup of ALL devices into a device map.
And if there is a dummy as an output device, may be the error message on sending data to dummie device is not necessary, I decided to send data or sound to this device and I should know it will not work.
This allows me to have one device setup with a lot of devices connected and other device setup with only the stereo pair of the laptop and a lot of dummies.
Regards,
Lluís

Re: devicemap changes
It does appear that some fixes and improvements are required regarding device maps. I'll take on board the comments and suggestions and try to get a new version out soon.
Re: devicemap changes
I'd like SCS to automatically select a device map according to the available devices. The device maps would need to be cue-file specific rather than machine specific. I use SCS in 3 different environments:
1) on the main audio PC in the studio to create the effects and the cue file
2) on a laptop in the rehearsal hall, when I use only the internal sound card
3) on the same laptop in the theatre, where I have additional sound interfaces to drive multiple speaker locations.
I'd like to not have to manually select different device maps depending on which devices are present at run-time.
