2 Soundcards?

Post by lxthemill » Thu Sep 12, 2013 1:02 am

I have SCS 11, and we currently use a Soundblaster Live! 24-bit external USB soundcard.
This gives us a L&R Stereo with 4 aux mixes.

For our next production, I require 10 channels.

Can I just buy another SB Live! external (about £20 on eBay) and use this with SCS?
Does it support multiple soundcards?

Otherwise, I will have to look at something like an ESI Gigaport.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Regards.

I have used multiple USB external sound cards to increase channel count successfully. For example, I use the Creative Labs Xfi dongle as they are small and provide excellent quality audio...also cheap...~$20 to $30 depending on sales.

You will need to define your audio channels in the Editor/Production/Production Properties/Devices menu. Once assigned, you can use them in any cue.
