I am designing a show that uses several video elements integrated with sound.
The director has a cyc hung upstage with two empty frames hung in two locations. Essentially, this provides for three projection locations. one in each frame and then the remainder of the cyc.
The director wants to be able to have video in each of the projection locations at various times.
We only have one projector.
I have no problem setting up a video cue to project into any one of the three locations by adjusting the size and setting the X and Y in the cue.
What I want to do is be able to have three different videos in each of the three locations at the same time. Each as a separate cue.
As I see it, the only way to do this is to have three projectors and execute each cue to a different projector. (I am assuming this since I do not have the ability to use more than one additional screen).
Is there any way to project more than one video at the same time using the same projector. I am pretty sure the answer is no...

The only way possible to do this is as you said. You must resize each element to fit where it needs to be projected. The projector aspect size must be set up to the size of your largest screen surface (in your case, the entire cyc). Then the cues that must have multiple images must be built with those multiple images in them. The timing and sizing should be set within the cue itself.
With only a single projector this is going to take a lot of editing and trial and error to make this happen. Let your director know that beforehand.

Thanks. I think she will have some decisions to make.
