Hi guys,
Before I go and order my new laptop for SCS, which will upgrade me to Win 7, are there still issues with the M-Audio WDM drivers only allowing access to the first channel outs? I was thinking of getting the FastTrack USB 8 in 8 out unit....
And for a future project, I wanted to plug in my ProFire LightBridge (32 I/O on ADATs).
Thanks!
Martin

Yes this limitation still exists as it is a limitation in the M-Audio driver, not a limitation in SCS. M-Audio's answer is to use ASIO or WASAPI. SCS supports ASIO but currently not WASAPI. Hopefully you will find SCS 11 provides better ASIO performance than SCS 10, provided you use SCS 11 Beta 22 or later. I started work on WASAPI support in SCS 11 but (a) the BASS implementation is difficult when it comes to sharing devices, and (b) I can't see why anyone would want to use WASAPI if they have ASIO available.

Thanks Mike! That's a bummer.... Is it just M-Audio?
I ask only because as you may remember from conversations we've had previously, I play multitrack click tracks back through SCS, and to best sync WAV files together ASIO needs to be off...
What would you reccomend within the M-Audio price range for 4 or 8 output cards?
Cheers!
