Displaying Cue Bars and Hot Keys

I am setting up my first show for an Amateur Theatre using SCS, and have found it (So far)
logical and easy
BUT
I downloaded SCS twice
The version on the teatre laptop shows Cue Bars and Hot Keys
The version on my home computer does not.
Adjsting the depth of the cue screen has no effect as all it reveala is blank screen.
What am I doing wrong
