Hi everyone
I've been reading the forums and there seems to be many folk having problems with video playback and like a lot of you I also have had the blank screen for 10 seconds while audio plays and then the video image joins in, I found that the only best solution was to record on the playback machine in Windows Movie Maker either via ilink, firewire or USB which then sets all the codecs and setting for you and I have never had a video clip fail in any performance I've done since that time, it plays first time, everytime. I even found that after after moving the files to a backup machine they still worked.
I hope this helps some of you as I know how frustrated it can be when everyone says "...and that should make it work".
Seasons greetings to you all
Peter
