Can SCS version 8.4.6 be run under Windows Vista?
It installs fine, but somewhat randomly just disappears (closes).
Thanks!

Re: SCS 8.4.6 on Windows Vista
I haven't run SCS 8 for ages but have just installed it on my Vista laptop and it seems OK. Can you find any pattern to this problem, eg does it occur when you play a certain audio file or type of audio file?
Re: SCS 8.4.6 on Windows Vista
Thanks for the reply, Mike.
It seems to happen when I'm moving (not dragging) the cursor quickly across the screen (using a touchpad on a laptop running Vista). It seems to happen only when I am actually interacting with the program with the cursor as opposed to when a file is playing. Files seem to play fine. As I'm writing this, I'm thinking I should try it with a mouse and see if I can replicate the problem. I'll let you know what happens.
Best Regards,
Tim

Ah-HA!
It doesn't happen with a mouse!
In fact, it only happens when I accidentally drag my finger over the "scroll" section of the touchpad (far right of the touchpad). Still strange behavior, as I've never seen this with other programs, but nice to know how to aviod it!
I hope this helps someone else.
Thanks again, Mike, for a great program and unsurpassed customer service!
