Next Cue not staying in window (mod in 10.6.2)

Post by Boswell » Mon Aug 17, 2009 7:42 pm

Hi Mike,
V10.6.0 (with cue list font size of 24)
I think this has been brought up before but can't find it.
Cue 302 is a background audio atmospheric which loops until stopped by a later cue.
As we progress through the cue list from 302 onwards, 302 stays displayed as the running cue but the next cue to be actioned eventually scrolls off the bottom of the screen.
Then when 302 is eventually stopped by 328 all returns to normal.
Should not the next cue to be actioned be visable at all times and the running cue scroll off the top?
or the running cue be fixed at the top of the scroll window and the later cues scroll below it
Sorry if I've not explained it clearly.
Updated garden.scs file sent
regards

I haven't checked this with Control Send cues (which are the cues between 302 and 328), but with Audio File cues they are removed from the cue panels as soon as they are completed. Are you saying that with Control Send cues, they remain displayed when they are completed, if an earlier cue (eg 302) is still playing?

Hi Mike

I find the same thing. The trouble is that if you loop a cue then let it play over lots of other cues the cue list stays with the looped cue and the cues you are playing and all others after that are off the bottom of the screen so you don’t know which cue you are on without scrolling down.
Is it possible that the cue that is on standby (the one to run next when you hit go) could stay in the middle of the screen all the time and the cue list would move up so you can see the previous and next cues without having to scroll?

I hope this makes sense.

Greig.

Mike,
I sent you an updated, (renumbered) scs file, in which 302 is an audio file, I can send again if rqd
304 to 326 are Control send cues
328 is the SFR cue which stops 302.

I think Greig has explained it better

I mis-understood the problem. I was looking at the cue panels in the lower part of the screen, but now see that you are referring to the cue list in the upper part. I'll have a look into Greig's suggestion of keeping the 'next' cue in the middle of the screen.

Yes, I'll try to get a fix/mod into 10.6.2.

Try this with 10.6.2 RC2, which has just been uploaded to the Members' Area.
