Are multiple monitors supported?

Post by jj-jimi » Wed Dec 10, 2008 9:22 am

If I have two graphics cards (both using the same graphics driver), and each card supports 2 monitors; is it possible to run a setup with scs consisting of four displays and run different video cues on each? I.e. one display for the cue system and three projectors with different videos playing on each.

SCS currently only plays one video cue at a time, and only screen #2 is supported (apart from a monitor panel on screen #1 if screen #2 is not present).

Hi JJ-JIMI . . . This may not exactly be the solution you're after as it would involve a second laptop but it may be worth a look . . . It's a program called Arkaos Grand VJ where you can assign videos to a specific musical note and then trigger them via MIDI from your SCS program/laptop. It's extremely fast (no noticeable latency) and I believe you can run more than one video output at any one time . . but that would need checking.
Hope that might be of some help . .
Cheers . . . Martin

Thanks for the info, I will check that one out. I also found a program called qlab which is like sound cue system but it allows multiple video cues to be sent on multiple outputs. Although it runs on Mac OS not on Windows, which is annoying.
