I still think maybe I'm missing something, because part of what you said is exactly my problem. Here's what's happening: I set the door slam, Q2<1> as a Manual cue. Then, as you said, Q2<2> (the stopping of Q1) is also set to Manual. When I run the cues, I click the go button for Q2<1> and it plays just fine. However, Q2<2> does not automatically happen because it is also set as Manual. So I have to click the go button first for Q2<1> and then for Q2<2>. It seems this problem could be solved if, up in the green area, under Activation (How the Cue is Started), it were possible to select the current cue -- not just the previous cues.
So far, the only way I've found around this is to have Q1 be the playing of the music, add Q2 as the stopping of the music, and then add Q3 (NOT a sub-cue) as the door slam, auto-starting 0.00 seconds after the start of Q2. It's a little backwards (and seems to maybe have just the tiniest bit of delay on Q3) but it gets the job done.
