Show Cue System

Many thanks. I knew there must be a way but hadn't seen that post.

I want to use still images(jpg) as backdrops then change seamlessly on cue to a video(avi file), usually to do an animated transition from one image to the next. Even though the first frame on the video is identical to the jpg image there is always a flicker.

Is there a way to cure this?
