This topic follows on from the topic requesting EQ in tracks. Many music multitrack DAWs like Cubase and Logic etc have a virtual mixer, which can include effects. This feature would be absolutely awesome in SCS and would increase it's power tremendously. I would love to be able to apply effects such as reverb and eq. It would also be very useful to have group channels which could all be effected together or even just have their volume changed together - I often have lots of cues or subcues which need to be faded up or down as one.
Obviously this would be a very big enhancement to SCS and would depend on decent enough PCs to run realtime effects without glitching, but happily we've reached that stage even with laptops now.
In the mean time I have a useful workaround for dynamically changing eq or reverb level - run 2 subcues together: one dry and one wet, then change the level between them. One of my favourite uses of this technique is to start a piece of scene-change music on the FOH speakers, then cross fade it with the same piece but eq'd to make it sound like a radio that is playing in the scene. Audiences (and directors) love it.
Cheers,
Matt

Can I add my support to Matt's request. I too have used the workaround he describes to good effect but I still had to go off and edit a copy of the sound file using some other piece of software and then go back to SCS to build it into the show. To be able to add a bit of reverb or tweak the EQ within SCS would be great.
