We are considering a MIDI approach to firing SCS cues from an attached device. We would like to be able to fire a specific cue using a MIDI device, but without changing the production Next Manual cue. Is this possible?
Also, as far as MIDI is concerned: We see that there are iPad apps (TouchOSC, e.g.) which can be set to send MIDI commands to a connected device. If a Windows PC is the target device for the TouchOSC MIDI command, do we simply cable-connect the two devices? Is a wireless connection supported? And if so: BlueTooth? WiFi?

Yes, that's possible. For any cue you want to trigger this way by MIDI, set 'MIDI/DMX Cue' in the Cue Properties to a unique number in the range 1-127. See Cue Properties and Cue Control Devices - MIDI.Dave Jenkins wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 12:35 amWe would like to be able to fire a specific cue using a MIDI device, but without changing the production Next Manual cue. I can't help you regarding TouchOSC, but it may be worth considering SCSremote. That could be used instead of a MIDI connection.
