Sound cues randomly taken without pressing go
Sound cues randomly taken without pressing go
We were running SCS for a show. The first weekend was fine, but the following weekend we had a problem where some cues would go without pressing anything on the computer. No programming had changed between the two weekends. I asked if there was a phone near the computer and was told no. Any ideas?

I would turn the computer off and then run your fingers up and down the keyboard, exercise and loosen any partially keys. If really dirty, spray some electrical contact cleaner under them, re-exercise and give them a darn good puff with an air jet cleaner. Another suspect would be any mouse attached. I found a tricky space bar in a remote keyboard we use on the Element 2 - darn thing did just that, triggered some cues!

Re: Sound cues randomly taken without pressing go
A log file will have been created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents", and the name of the file includes a time-stamp indicating when the log started. If you email me the log file from a run in which this happened this may help me identify the cause, eg if SCS detected a keyboard action or a network command, etc.
