BPM Display Question

Currently on 18..2.2

I am setting up my first Chase lighting cue, and needed to specify a BPM value (different form the Production default). All that went well. I notice that the BPM value is displayed at the upper right, and a little marker flashes in accordance with the value last set for BPM. My question is this:

I never noticed either the BPM value display, or its associated flashing indicator, before. Is that new in 18.2.2, or have I been oblivious to it before becoming aware of the Chase parameter(s) before today? At any rate, I find the blinking display distracting - is there a way to optionally disable it?

The BPM display and flashing indicator have always been displayed when a chase cue exists in the production. There's no facility to suppress either the BPM display or the flashing indicator.
