I would vote for a modern look with a touch friendly interface. As the trend is doing more and more per touch on screens and we just started with Waves SuperRack which gives an idea and works very nice I think it should be keep in mind. As the "GO" and "PAUSE" areas on top of SCS are touch friendly already I would stay on that. Another idea could be a panel that I can open and place where I want with big buttons for "GO", "PAUSE", and an arrow up and down for selecting the next cue etc. Maybe thats not the way to run a show...but could be sometimes suitable for reharsals and easy access by a remote control via Pad and VNC/RemoteDesktop.
