4 channel outputs

hi

i have done this before with the same pc and sound card, but cant get it to work now

i have 4 channel/ 4 track wav files. instruments on 1,2 and vocals on 3,4

i have scs setup and can play test tone out to the separate speakers
asio is the selected option
a1 = 2 channel stereo, output 1/2 of the sound card
a2 = 2 channel stereo, output 3/4 of the soundcard

scs shows its a multitrack audio file in the editor

but when it plays the file its mixes tracks 1,2 with 3,4

audio is heard from all 4 speakers

what is wrong in my settings?

in production

a1 = multi 4 = 1-4

a2 = blank not populated
a3 = blank not populated
a4 = blank not populated
