Looping an audio file with a delay

Post by Acorn Designs » Fri Oct 12, 2018 10:44 am

I need to create an audio cue that repeats but waits 5 seconds before it repeats.
Can someone give me an idea of how to create the cue?

Thanks.

How many times does it need to repeat? A simple method for a single repeat is to create the first audio cue. Add a sub-cue of the same track, setting its relative start to 5 seconds after the end of the previous sub-cue. This works and could, in theory, be extended for many repeats with subsequent sub-cues, but I'm not sure it is the most efficient way of doing it.

Alternatively you could create the track with 5 seconds of silence at the end and set it to loop continuously.
