Hi. I am using scs 11.7.0 and I'm having a problem with a video.
The video is rotated in SCS, while is played fine in VLC, Windows movies&tv, and windows media player.
This is the video: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Vy6zo ... QGq_Nl-Vi9
Attached is the image of the same video file in show cue system.
I am new to the software so I dont know if there is any option for rotate/flip videos...but I can not find it.
Thank you.

Re: A Video is showed rotated
It seems that the video playback library TVG (TVideoGrabber) is not automatically rotating the video. The width of the video image is 848 pixels and the height is 480 pixels, and that is exactly how TVG displays it. I ran this through the TVG demo program and got the same result as SCS.
However, I then 'converted' the MP4 file to MP4 using the NCH Prism Video Converter, and Prism rotated it without me having to request this. So after this 'conversion', the new video plays correctly in the TVG demo and in SCS. The new video image width is 480 pixels and the height is 848 pixels.
I haven't provided a rotation option for videos but will consider this for a future release. Meanwhile can you re-save or convert this file to fix the rotation?

Re: A Video is showed rotated
Hi. I also encountered the same problem for the first time yesterday (after using SCS with video for many years) - 4 out of a group of 5 videos given to me for projection were either upside down or rotated right by 90 degrees in SCS but OK in Media Player/VLC/Pot Player so I came on to the Forum to see if anyone else had seen this. I think all were originally recorded on phones. Changing driver settings didn't make any difference.
I'll use the fix suggested to Gaiden but if a 'rotate' option could be incorporated that would be great.
Version in use is 11.7.0 Professional Plus.

Re: A Video is showed rotated
I may have a fix for this on Monday. SCS uses the MediaInfo.dll to obtain information about video files, and the latest version includes a 'rotation' setting. For Gaiden's file this is reporting 90°. So I'll modify SCS to read this setting and to apply it to videos played by the TVG video playback library. I'm expecting to upload SCS 11.7.1 Release Candidate 5 on Monday, and hopefully this fix will be ready for that version.

Re: A Video is showed rotated
Thanks Mike. I'll give it a try. I was able to get away with it today using the file conversion and it was lucky I was able to get the files yesterday instead of this morning. (NB: the client was curious to know how I was able to show the videos on cue without all the usual on-screen faffing around loading and starting videos so I was able to give SCS a plug!). Thanks once again for the system. David

Re: A Video is showed rotated
You should find the rotation detected and handled correctly in SCS 11.7.1 Release Candidate 5.

Re: A Video is showed rotated
Thanks Mike. Have downloaded RC 5 and the problem seems fully resolved - all the videos I had that were problematic now display in correct orientation without needing to perform any conversions. Thanks again for the prompt fix. David
