[Resolved] Trouble playing mp4 video

Hello,

mp4 videos will not output audio on my system. Audio cues and .wmv video cues work fine.

From what I can see in your diagnostic file, I presume you have not installed LAVFilters. The easiest way to do that is to re-install SCS and accept the option to run the LAVFilters installer. Then make sure that all the 'Custom' checkboxes are selected except for the H.264 checkbox (as that one requires an extra download and is not necessary). Also make sure that under LAV Splitter Formats (a later dialog window) that MP4 is selected.

I thought I had installed the LAVfilters, but I'll try again.

I've unistalled, reinstalled, with LAV filters, still can't play mp4 videos with audio.

Just an update for other users: it seems the non-playback of the MP4 files on Craig's machine was due to some issues with 64-bit video codecs. When running the 32-bit version of SCS the files play perfectly, still using the TVG video playback library.
