Selecting Cues in Production editor.

Post by Adair » Tue Jun 13, 2006 1:32 pm

I built a show useing 50 + cues.
Due to the nature of the show I'm usiung fairly detailed descriptions
In addition, the Name of Production is quite long.
This has caused the cue list side of the production editor to display scroll bars.
I cannot select cues unless I slide the horizontal scroll bar a litlle bit to the right.
Resarting the program clears the problem.
Any thoughts?

This was an issue in the beta stage but was thought to be corrected. Are you using the latest version 9.1.5?

Meanwhile, try clicking the icon itself in the node tree, rather than the cue description.

It was only partially corrected, Malcolm.

The issue is that the 'tree view' control I am using displays the node text (eg cue number and description) in a 'tool tip' balloon if the text is too wide for the available space. All very nice, but then it frequently doesn't recognise a mouse click on the text if the tool tip balloon is displayed! I'll probably end up replacing the tree view control, but meanwhile I work around the issue by shortening the displayed text to prevent the tool tip balloon appearing. But where this still doesn't quite work is if you get a vertical scroll bar, because that reduces the available width and the tool tip balloon again appears!

The temporary solution, as Malcolm pointed out, is to click on the icon to the left of the text.
