Hi,
I'm running SCS Standard. I'm a stage manager not a sound engineer so doing some fairly basic stuff for small scale productions. When I add a cue with a fade in I'd like to eliminate the several moments of silence at the start of the fade-in by setting the start volume level at something other than -INF. Is there any way of doing this?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks
Change default fade in from -INF
Re: Change default fade in from -INF
Are the 'few moments of silence' actually part of the track? If you zoom the graphic into the start of the track you can see where the sound actually starts. Drag the start marker to this point or fine tune it by clicking in the 'Start At' box and adjust the time with Ctrl + L or R cursor.
The fade always starts and finishes at silence (often helpful to avoid a click) but, apart from adjusting the length of the fade, you can try altering the fade curve from 'Standard' to 'Logarithmic' or 'Linear' by clicking the double chevron to the right of the 'Fade In Time' box.
In SCS Professional one has more flexibility with the Level Envelope.
Hope that helps.
