Fader on last playing cue

Post by allcomp » Wed Jun 01, 2016 7:34 pm

Dear Mike

Don´t know if this is a bug on 11.5 RC, but when I use the shortcut key to turn up the volume on last playing cue, it seems like the fader is able to pass 0 db without turning up the music, if I keep pressing the shortcut. If I want to turn down the music, it then takes a while to pass 0 db again and turn down the music. It´s the same issue when the fader is at it´s lowest.

Best wishes,

Brian Larsen, Denmark

Not really a bug. When using these shortcuts (and also the equivalent shortcuts for 'all playing cues'), SCS applies the level change to all outputs used by the affected cues. For example, if a playing cue has 'Front' at -3dB and 'Rear' at -12dB and you use the shortcut to raise the level by 10dB, then after that change 'Front' will be capped at 0dB and 'Rear' will be at -2dB. If you then use the shortcut to start lowering the levels, then any change to 'Front' should not (in this example) occur for the first -7dB. So if you take the level of 'Rear' back to -12dB using this shortcut then the level of 'Front' should then be back to -3dB. IE they both end up where they started.

Hope that makes sense. I know it could be smarter and stop the increments when all device levels in all affected cues have reached their limits - maybe I'll implement that later.
