Native Resolution Issue w/ Projector

Post by Pochflyboy » Sat Nov 30, 2013 11:41 am

Hello,

I have setup a projection mapping show that is being cued and played back by SCS 11 and I am having an issue. The .MP4 video file is rendered at the projectors NATIVE resolution of 1280x800. When the projector is hooked up I have set the resolution to the native (Windows recommends 1920 x 1080 and says that is the native but it is not. There is no projector driver so I am using the generic driver.) The desktop does cover the entire area when the resolution is set to the projectors native resolution.

When I launch the SCS and playback the show it displays the show at a much smaller size. I tried using the "size" feature but the slider jumps too much to be accurate enough. The only way I can get the show to play correctly is if I set the resolution on the PC to 1920 x 1080 however then the entire show is much more pixelated and not nearly the quality.

My Systesm is:
Windows 7
Intel Q6600
GeForce 210

Thanks a million,
Joe

Note that in SCS 11.2.5 you can adjust the size using the mouse wheel or the + and - keys. Also, if you hold down a shift key while using the + and - keys then size adjustments are very small - probably just one pixel.
