first of all I wasnt sure if I should post this here or in the bata 11 but I suppose this is more a request than a bug report
I havn't really tried it in earlier versions but I am guessing they work similarly but I just tested in version 11b2.
Our theatre is an all volunteer run theatre with about 5 different sound designers and double that for operators. we recently had problems with a show having changes made that were not authorized

. so the ability to lock editing a show is important. we keep all of the production folders in a common folder on a second hard drive so that all users can open the current show so that they can run it. We often have different operators on different nights. Here is my problem If I lock a show it is locked while I am logged into the computer as me. but not locked if I log in as another user. they can lock it but they must have their own designer password to do that. what would be handy here is to be able to lock a show from editing with a password that is unique to that show, and editing would be locked for any user that opens it. and should the need to unlock it they could use That unique password that the designer assigned to that particular show. I hope that made sense.
Thanks

Yes, that makes sense. I'll add this to my list for SCS 11.

Hello Mike, I am new to this system, but not new to sound design. I recently designed for a off BW show and it seems that the Director and his crew was not familiar with SHOW CUE SYSTEMS. The theatre has Q-Lab as it's cue system. My question: Is there anyway that Q-Lab can except Show Cue Systems Production file.

I doubt it, but that's really a question for QLab. I don't know what your arrangement is with the theatre, but is it feasible to use your own computer, running SCS, for the show? Alternatively, SCS can be installed on a Mac provided it is run using a Windows VM such as Bootcamp. Obviously the theatre would need to purchase an SCS license if they decide to go that way, but it would be possible to try this solution at no cost by installing the demo version.
