Tracing has been turned on following this suggestion from a few users, to speed up diagnosing any issues that may arise. SCS automatically deletes any log files older than 7 days.

Regarding Avast, unfortunately 'false positives' from virus checkers are a pain for software developers. I have now submitted the file to Avast to report this false positive.

There doesn't seem to be any noticeable impact on performance, and I've been reducing the amount of tracing that occurs. You can turn off tracing during the run, using Help/Tracing, and we are considering allowing this setting to saved across sessions.

In the past, when I have discovered a problem and Mike has sent me a Beta tracing version of the program, I have had many instances where I will use that version for shows, forgetting that it was tracing. I never noticed any performance differences with tracing on.

Thanks, that sounds fine - I only noticed it was on when I saw the option ticked in the drop down menu whilst looking for something else.
