Time line MSC cues in audio cues
Hi firstly I love your program. I use SCS to trigger My ETC ION via MSC very often namely in music tracks to get lighting bang on with Music show after show. Currently I use a copy and paste of time (off the audio) into separate cues. Adding a cue timeline underneath an audio track as a kind of sub cue would be an immensely powerful tool and shave hours off my programming time. I have been known to use 50 lighting cues within a single song. Add maybe 8 backing track songs into my last panto for example that racks up a lot of copy and paste and coming in and out of different cue editors. Adding to my use you have now got the wonderfull lighting control (I'm yet to try sorry) this lighting cue could also benefit from the time line Idea?

...so there is no need for many subcues anymore.

I am doing the exact same thing! I also typically have lots of lighting cues AND mixer automation cues (executed as Control Send to LightFactory and to the mixer), and these control cues are always triggered by the audio track.
What a great idea Alun!
Thank you,
Stas

I think for me, this would shave DAYS off my programming time! (Too many cues in each musical...!)Alun Thomas wrote:Adding a cue timeline underneath an audio track as a kind of sub cue would be an immensely powerful tool and shave hours off my programming time.

Do Cue Markers help?
If you have set up some cue markers then other cues can be started 'On Cue Marker' with a selected Cue Marker. See 'On Cue Marker' under 'Activation Method' in Cue Properties.

There's no actual limit on the number of cue markers.
SCS also accepts cue points embedded in WAV files, and also that a sub-cue can have an 'on cue marker' start time (instead of 'rel. start time') if the cue has an earlier audio file sub-cue containing at least one cue maker or cue point.
