I have just posted about problems I am having with the Steinberg UR28M and potentially replacing it with a sound card, however I have just realised that I could go direct into a X-USB expansion card on the X32 rack mixer.
I have found one reference on this forum in "supported audio devices" about successfully doing this, (I will send a PM), however I would be interested to hear of other opinions or experiences in this regard with the X32.
many thanks
Geoff.
Behringer X32 X-USB expansion card
Re: Behringer X32 X-USB expansion card
I use SCS with my X32 directly connected via the original X32 USB/FW card and it works perfectly - I just route Card 1-4 to the AUX-IN 1-4 as I only need 4 channels = but you can route Card 1-32 to whichever input channels you want.
Re: Behringer X32 X-USB expansion card
Today I scrapped the Steinberg and am now using the X32 usb card. No problems setting up and seems to work well.
Hopefully it's goodbye to missed audio cues.

Re: Behringer X32 X-USB expansion card
I do this on a regular basis with no issues.
I generally set it up as d_korman said - Card 1-4 or 1-6 patched to the aux input, but it is a very flexible solution.
Just make sure that the USB cable is secure in the X32 so it can't be pulled out by accident. I tend to loop the cable straight back under the mixer so it can't get caught on anything.
