[Resolved] Video Cue Does Not Start FIRST TIME ONLY

Post by JonInNY » Wed Jun 29, 2016 7:49 am

Hi All, I am a new user, and have this problem with a show:

My show has several audio cues, and a few video projection cues, 3 at the top of the show and one at the bottom finale.

If I run SCS the FIRST time, the video cues work properly until the LAST one, when I get no video. The audio cues along with that video work fine.

However, if I run the show subsequent times, without exiting SCS, that last cue runs perfectly well. So, I've gotten into the habit of running through ALL the cues when I load the show, then start at the top again. So this only seems to happen the first time through.

Even if I open SCS and go right to that last video cue, it does NOT work the first time. I have to stop it, and then all future instances work fine!

This happens with both 11.4 (32 bit) and the new 11.5 (64 bit).

Anyone have any ideas?
(Diagnostic Report submitted too!)

This issue has now been resolved. It was a video codec problem and was resolved by installing the FFDSHOW video codec.

For other users who may have similar issues, note that for 64-bit SCS you need to install the 64-bit FFDSHOW video codec.

Could be useful to show a reminder each time you add a vídeo cue explaining that not all vídeos can be Played.
This Windows may have a link to the help file where ffdshow install procedure is explained.
This reminder shoud have a check box to disable it.

Lluís
