The next major release of SCS will be SCS 11.9. As usual, this will include a number of enhancements requested by users, but the main reason for the version number upgrade from 11.8 to 11.9 is that we are planning a significant upgrade to the user interface (UI). The goal is to make the UI more in keeping with current trends. This will include reducing the number of colors, eliminating many lines, improving the appearance of buttons, moving the toolbars from the top to the left side, and generally trying to simplify complex screens. As this project is currently in the planning stage, we are open to suggestions regarding the design of screens, particularly the main screen and the editor screen.
