SCSremote is an application to remotely control SCS with an Android Smartphone or tablet. SCSremote can control basic SCS functions such as playing cues, navigating between cues, adjusting master level, and displaying cue times and progress. It is available to download from Google Play. SCSremote has been developed by Simone Giusti and any queries on this should be directed to simone@rockopera.it

Please note that SCSremote requires SCS 11.6.1 or later.

Edit (Feb 2020):

AVAILABLE NOW on Amazon App Store

Due to problems with Google Play we decided to publish SCS Remote on Amazon App Store:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084GSQ3SH/re ... 185&sr=8-1

Edit (Jun 2022) - SCS Remote is still available on Google Play.

This is a great App..
Set up a wifi router, connect your PC and "you're good to go". Connect your phone to the network and it works straight away. No tricky config's ...

If you have an SCS Standard or SCS Lite license then you will find that SCS will not accept a connection request from SCSremote. This is an unintentional limitation that's a hangover from the very early days of developing the interface. This limitation will be removed in SCS 11.6.2, allowing users of all license levels to use the app, and I can provide a pre-release 11.6.2 now for anyone who needs it.

SCSremote is an application to remotely control SCS Show Cue System for Windows, developed by Mike Daniell. SCS logos are used by kindly permission of the author.
SCSremote can control basic Show Cue System functions as playing and navigating between cues and receiving informations as cue positioning and timing.

Settings
When opening app for the first time you will be redirected to settings panel. Please enter informations concerning network SCS and app will share. Ip address and port are required. Please note that SCS and app will comunicate using specified port and next port (eg. 58000 and 58001).

Long pressing for STOP function
This function will prevent pressing unwanted buttons.

Live mode
You have the opportunity to disable some buttons during live shows. Choose buttons in setting panel and activate Live mode by pressing live button in main panel.

Rehearsal mode
This special mode allows to play single cues by long pressing a row in cuelist.

Screen always on
This function will prevent screen standby.

Known limitations
Cue timers could not update when starting app when a cue is already playing. You could experience some sync problems due to network speed.

I think this is a great app, and I have been waiting a long time for this, so I am very happy.

Though it still seems to crash once in awhile after latest update, I will not use it in an actually live show. I will use it to check sound and lighting on stage before a show.

"Next manual cue" text at the bottom, seems to be stuck pretty often, and I think you should lose the timing messages between the remote and the PC. It´s too much information, and often you have to wait from when you press the button till it actually reacts on the computer.

I hope you understand. My English could be better :?.

This is a great idea, thanks. What would make it REALLY useful is the ability to adjust and save the cue levels of a playing cue or sub-cue, as you can from the playback window on the PC, so that one does not have to keep running backwards and forwards between the auditorium and the control room to adjust the levels during set-up. It should work in the same way as in the main cue window on the PC - adjust a slider on the running cue to set the level and then "Save level Qn" to save the change. So no need for an editor window.

If it had this capability, I'd buy it.

Thanks as always for a great piece or software,

Hi Simon,

The idea of this remote is extremely appealing . . . well done for developing it.

I only want to acquire a tablet for this purpose and, as I don't have much knowledge of Android tablets, am wondering if the specs of the PROTAB Android 5.1 Google Play 8Gb Tablet PT51M7BLU (on eBay) would be adequate?

• 7” Capacitive HD Touch Screen (1024 x 600)
• 1.3Ghz Quad Core Processor
• MicroSD Slot (upto 32Gb)
• Front Camera
• Android 5.1 OS
• Built-in 8GB Flash (total storage) + 1Gb RAM
• Google Play Store

Thanks . . . Martin

Ciao and thanks for this app I used it with a cheap USB router for a live show on new years eve, I clipped my phone to the mic stand and it worked great. I discovered that increasing the text size of the cue list on the computer reflects on the app so makes it less fiddly, however this has prompted a feature request, (auto cue scroling) so that the playing cue stays at the top. Mmmmm had a thought can SCS do that
