Hello Hope all is well!

I would like to know if at any chance there could be an option in the future of a Replay Que. rather than reinserting the sound file again and again, if there already is something like this then please give us a heads up.

what i mean is say you have Q1 door open Sound Effect, then a few ques after, then the Door opens again, rather than copy and pasting Que 1 into position, have some sort of Replay Que option?

I have to say that i have been using SCS now for a while and i am loving it!!!

If you have SCS Professional, have a look at "Standby Cues" in the Help file. Alternatively, you could set the effect up as a Hot Key cue, which can be played at any time.

thanks for the reply! i have used those in the past and was wondering if there cold be an option in the future to implement a Replay Cue, rather than placing the cue on standby or having a hot key!

thanks for your help!

So what you're saying is, rather than copy/paste the cue multiple times into your program, just have a "reference" cue that plays another cue in this position, so that the cue has to be defined only once.

The only benefit I can see is that if the cue definition is complex -- i.e. multiple devices, fades, sub-cues -- and if you make copies of it and then later on need to modify the cue, you will need to modify it in multiple places. There may be doubt as to how much benefit that is (i.e. you can always modify the one cue, and then re-copy it to the other locations) ... but if there are other benefits it would be good to hear.

The reason i thought if this idea is that is use SCS in both theatre and Award Shows, i have all my award stings cued up and ready to play. However in between the award stings the presenters would like a music bed to be played. for this i would normally set the bed up on a hot key, or copy and paste the bed after every award sting cue. I have in the past just faded down the bed, and faded it when needed. so i guess the reason would be so that you would not need to re insert the cue just re activate it or replay the cue! does that make sence.

I could see this being quite useful in panto - for the song sheet, I have to play the same piece of music five or six times, but the exact number varies from one night to the next. I just used the up arrow to re-cue as a hot key didn't seem appropriate for ~ 1 minute of music; I always see hot keys as being used for very short spot effects.
