Midi for fade out and stop of all running cues? (In 9.5.0)

Post by nmcgann » Sun Nov 18, 2007 9:53 pm

A midi message to do the equivalent of a "SFR for all earlier cues" would be useful.

We do awards shows where cues are always individual (and usually sequential), so rather than adding SFR cues after every single music cue it would be good to have a global message (or button+message ideally) that could do a global fade and stop.

This would make my cue lists half as long.

....But it also shouldn't lose the place in the cue list. I have tried using a SFR cue at the end of the play list on a hot key and it jumps cues right to the end so is no use as a global fade and stop for any cue.

With SCS 9.4.7 you will be able to select a 'non-linear' run mode, which means cues can be run in any order without affecting earlier cues. Initially this will only be practical using MIDI control (which you are using). So with this feature you will be able to set up your SFR cue at the end of the cue list as you suggest, and activate that cue whenever you need to. With non-linear mode the cue list will not jump to the end.
