Some requests (part in 9.4.2)

I have a list of some requests (using version 9.3.0 as base version):
1. I would like to see at the Production Properties, a physical device as <no device> so If I have 6 outputs at the Theatre and only 2 at home I can test it at home without actually using outputs 3 to 6, for example.

2. Upgrade on the enable/disable cue feature. I can have an A, B, C, D, E groups of enable, for example. Imagine that I have 4 different casts for the same production, so I can with enabling A group just run those marked as A, or if I enable group B just run those cues marked as part of group B. One cue can be selected to be part of any combination of groups, but in the production properties I can only select one group to be enable to run.

3. I woul like to rename wav files at the production properties window, so I can rename a file without the need to close SCS.

4. It will be nice If I could add a list of midi messages in the same midi subcue or cue. Imagine that at each cue I need to send five different midi messages, If I do it in a list it will be very powerfull. You can add a (add midi message line) in order to have this fature in the same cue/subcue.

5. The same idea above aplies wth serial (COM) commands, when you future implement the send serial message, please add the possibility to send a list of messages on the same cue/subscue.

Thanks and congratulations, I've been having a very very very good time enjoyng SCS!!!

Cheers,

I second the first two items.

1) I have a USB bluetooth headset which I use both at home and work, and also neither. Sometimes the headset is present, sometimes not - SCS has a problem with the sound device not being there when it is expecting it to be.

2) We use SCS for rehearsals as well as the shows; it would be nice to have sub-lists which match the rehearsal list. For instance Mondays rehearsal might be the dance rehearsal, so only dance cues would be shows; Tuesdays might be main rehearsals, so anything which was to be rehearsed that night would show. etc.

I "third" the second item as well!

I sometimes work with a show that uses a live choir for some of the songs. In rehearsals we practice with a demo version of the song (or even a recording of our choir), but obviously in production we play the "performance" versions. It is a pain trying to keep essentially two shows in sync. This would be a much easier approach!

A few answers:

1. <no device>: I'll look into that. It doesn't seem complicated.

2. Enabling/disabling groups of cues: I've had a few requests for this and will consider adding 'performance groups'.

3. Renaming audio files: Noted.

4/5. List of MIDI/Serial messages in same sub-cue: coming in SCS 10.

Enabling cue groups

Hi Mike

I did a quick search before I posted this request, and found that others had already posted the idea, have you looked further into adding this feature?

We are producing "Adrian Mole" with two separate Adrian's, each on alternate nights, this show has several voice overs, and whilst I can copy the complete SCS file and play a different show for the production, rehearsals are a bit of a bind, as other SFX have yet to be finalised, so want to keep to a single file as long as possible.

Having the option to enable / disable a group of cues would be fabulous, setup a bit like the time-based cues i.e. name and group number.

SCS, what a brilliant product

Request #1, the "no device" facility, is now in 9.4.2.
