Linking cues to a script

Hi, being a bit blond Ms dizzy here has a very silly suggestion.

OK the way I run my shows is to have the laptop displaying the script on its internal screen & scs on the 2nd monitor (windows extended desktop mode). The scripts are in MS word 2003 format which allows me to put nice comments on the screen at cue points & also a bookmark shortly before. This allows me to skip to places I can easily pick up if there is say 20 pages of script with no cues. What is missing is some way of linking scs to the bookmarks if need be.

In an ideal world this function would be built into scs as a floating resizable window with the script in that can be made to go to cue points by firing a scs cue or vice versa, hyper links or buttons in the script that can be used to fire cues. This would be then more platform independent .

Or can the bookmarks be associated with a cue & for scs to use this to go to the bookmark in the document via DDE or COM?

Thanks for a very useful tool

Dee99,

I have been using this succesfully but not with one computer but with two, one with SCS other with my script in Acrobat Reader. I use Bome's Midi Translator (http://www.bome.com/midi/translator) in the Acrobart's computer and program it to receive midi program change 1, and translate it to a key action, in order to go to page number 1, for example. I think you can try using it in the same machine, but you will have to use MIDI Yoke's (http://www.midiox.com) to emulate within the same computer. You will have to deal with program focus, as the key action will run at the program that has the focus.

Cheers,
