AutoStart after Hot Key?

Hi Mike,
Is there a way to Auto-Start a cue after a Hot Key cue? this would be a nice way to deal with alternate scenarios, you could play the Hot Key and that would then take you to a specific cue, not necessarily at the point in the show where you were, ie skip several cues and land further ahead, or even "retrace" your steps to an earlier cue.
also, I still don't know,
is there a way to play Hot Key cues like a sampler of sorts, that is keep playing until you release the key?

I'm considering the options regarding the 'sampler' scenario. One of the issues is that Windows fires an 'auto-repeat' of a key if you hold it down, so I have to be able to tell the difference between a key being held down and you deliberately pressing the key twice (or more). Not impossible, but MS do make things complicated sometimes.
I'll look into the suggestion about auto-starting after a hot key cue.

I guess that the keyboard is not like a musical instrument - there is only "note on", so to speak...
Perhaps you could build an option in cues where the "auto repeat" is interpreted as "keep playing", once you stop sensing the repeating key then you could stop playback, ideally with a very quick fade out. You'd only apply this option as needed. It could also be useful in regular cues.
this would be easier with a MIDI keyboard, but you would still have to be able to tell your hot key cues to respond to Note-on and Note-off. And I really like the idea of not needing a MIDI keyboard.
this would give you a more intuitive way of triggering quick cues where you have to match actions onstage that are never the same exact time so you couldn't just build a cue of the right length. Typically for those scenarios you have to do two keystrokes, one for starting the cue, another one for stop or whatever the next cue is. If there is some time between those two keystrokes (maybe more then 5-6 seconds), the current setup is perfect, it feels "right" to click, watch the action onstage, click again at the right time. For other stuff, when the sound cue would be shorter, like a buzzer or telephone ring, it feels a little weird to click then quickly click again to stop or move on.
