Random repeat

Hi,

I have a requirement to fire a number of cues at random intervals over a period of about 20 minutes. I can do this using a few hotkeys, with the operator acting as a random number generator. :)

I'd like to suggest a new cue activation type - "Random repeat". The sequence would be started by one of the existing activation methods, and thereafter would fire at random intervals until stopped by an SFR cue. The minimum and maximum times between each firing should be cue parameters. An option to stop the cue automatically after a given number of activations might also be useful but not essential.

Thanks,
Dave

PS - the show goes in on 10th November :)

I'm not sure that there would be much other need for this feature, so I did a Google search on 'random key presser' and this was the first of several results: https://autokeypresser.com/. Seems that may do the job for you. There's a free trial usage period (I didn't check for how long), and then you can pay just $US7.65 to use if for up to six months.

Thanks, I've had a look. I need to look in more detail to see if it can be command line driven and if I can use an SCS "run external program cue " to spawn the new process and pass the command line to it with all the parameters (or if the setting can be saved). The only user interface the operators will know how to use or have access to is SCS in performance mode, which auto-starts on boot up; they will not be willing or able to startup and configure other programs for each performance.
