cd-g/Karaoke support

hey

I've been happily using SCS for a couple of years now, although this is the first time I've visited the forum. This may have been asked before but couldn't find it while searching.

I'm a freelance sound engineer, and while I normally work with live music I also do the odd theatre show and corporate. Over the past while I've had quite a few people approach me about events and charity nights in the style of X-factor or BGT etc etc. They want to have a fun night for their event and have lots of the staff or amateur singers up singing songs etc etc, and most want karaoke CD's played with the words on a screen to sing along to. Easy enough on it's own with a free software karaoke player or whatever.

However both because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and also because they want the production values as high as possible, they like the background music, theme stings etc from the TV program to also be played while the presenter introduces acts and the "judges" comment etc. which takes us away from the karaoke player and into the realm of SCS. Swapping between programs is a bit footery on the one laptop, and while two could be used it would be nice if SCS supported the karaoke tracks, with the cd-g lyrics part of it playing out to an attached monitor like a video file and allowing it all to be cue'd up and launched from the one system.

I'm not promising anything yet, but I'll mention that I've also had requests from musicians/singers to have lyrics displayed on a separate monitor.
