autostopping previous video [resolved]

In a show which I run these days, and many more to come, I have a mix between jpeg images and video-files.
During programming it was very easy to add and insert new images, as they will stop running after the next one starts anyway!
With videofiles it was different and much more complicated... I need to program a subcue to stop the image which came right before the videocue, and update this subcue everytime I insert another file inbetween, this makes me think of the hassle of programming in Qlab!
Same thing between two or more videoQ's, every time programming the stopQ of the previous videofile, otherwise they just keep running, which overloads the processor and the videocard...
Maybe I just missed the right button to do this automaticaly?

If you start a video cue then it should automatically stop a currently-playing video cue without you having to add a Stop sub-cue. Which version of SCS are you using? I've just tested this with 10.8.2.

Starting a video cue does not, however, automatically stop a currently-playing image cue. This can be a useful feature if you want a particular image file to be shown whenever no video is playing - assuming you're not displaying other images. If you start an image cue that's set to 'continuous play' then when a video cue starts the image will be temporarily hidden, and when the video cue ends the image will again be made visible.

Running 10.8.2 on XP, but it was 10.8.1 when I programmed the show!
Let me check it again, I'll let u know..

there it is, ... The video files are set to continuous play, but I do need to loop these video's, as these are backgrounds for blue-key-effect-live-video, so still images, but with a pixelflow and small moves, so they look like video and not photo!
So I use continuous play as a system to loop my video, as the loopfunction does not exist (yet?).

I don't quite follow you. Do you still have the problem of multiple videos playing simultaneously with SCS 10.8.2? I've just run another test using 10.8.2, setting a video to 'continuous play', and when I start the next video cue it correctly stops and completes the looping video cue.
