More functions assignable in key mapping

I have a Contour Shuttle Xpress (http://retail.contourdesign.com/?/products/22) which I use to control my video editing software.
I have been considering using it to control SCS. This is easily achieved because the Shuttle Xpress software lets you assign all the functions as keystrokes so all I need to do is match up the assignments in Shuttle with the assignments in SCS key mapping and it works.
The thing is that there are a couple of things I'd like to be able to do that I can't map keys for. In particular:
[*]Raise and lower the level of the output of the current cue (would be ideal in tech rehersal so I could use the Shuttle like a volume control (albeit rotary not fader) to get the level I want - much easier than using the mouse - or worse, laptop pad.
[*]Change the fade of the running cue (using either the jog or shuttle depending which felt best).
[*]Assign a button to Save Level/Pan so I could click one of the function keys to store the new values.
If you are going to look at this, iot might also be good to have the play, stop, loop end etc. as key assignable functions so that they could be put on a key-mimicking control surface too.
Thanks
