Marker display from Sound Editor to SCS 10+

Hello,

I use Sound Forge to edit my audio tracks - and also a Zoom H4N to record voice overs and other recorded bits used in the plays we produce.

I was encouraged when we did J.B. that the recordings I made with the H4N and marked the various spots of good takes and bad takes on-the-fly transferred perfectly well when edited in Sound Forge. In other words, all markers made with the H4N showed up perfectly well in SF.

What I'm getting at is, I wonder if SCS 10+ could also display the markers made by another application so that loop points could be set in the other application and used by SCS?

I think that feature would help setting loop points more exactly.

I'm using SCS 10.7.2 with windows XP pro sp3 with a MOTU 2408 PCI audio interface.

Best regards,

I'll look into this for SCS 11. I presume the markers are standard WAV file 'cue points'.

Hi Mike,

I can e-mail you off-list example files.
Thanks,

OK - please email me one file with details of what markers are in the file.

Thanks, Carl. I was able to extract the cue points from the file you sent me. They are standard WAV file cue points so I will include in SCS 11 the ability to set start, end and loop points from WAV file cue points.

Cue points/markers now available in SCS 11 Beta 20.
