I would like to see the ability to time lock(link) sub cues to each other. Currently to my understanding sub components with the same length are linked and can be scrubbed together and guaranty sample based sync. I would like to see this extended to any sub cue so I can seek to a specific time in the files and all sub parts of the cue will be where they should be in relation to the first cue. If I build a long sequence of evnets with many layers of sub components such as a thunderstorm and the director wants to stop in rehearsal and to give notes in the middle of the scene and then continue where we left off I have no way of getting to a specific part of a cue. I would want it to determine new start times as I scrolled in time in any sub component and skip the cues that I pass. for example if I start the storm cue and then move to 5 min in on the rain track it would skip the thunder with the relative start time of 3 min and the thunder at 6 min would fire in 1 min time.
This type of feature feels like a logical extension of the already existing linking feature. I can see two possible implementations of this feature. The first is that all sub components are automaticly linked together and the second could give a check box that allows me to choose if i want time linking or not for specific sub cues.

If continuing where you left off is really what you want to achieve, then "Pause All/Resume All" (second button on the Run Screen Ribbon Bar) should do it for you, without more complicated coding by Mike. The Help file tells you

Thanks for the Info on the Pause all. that will be helpful. For me its not just about pausing. If we want to start a rehearsal in the middle of a sequence or if there is a specific part I need to adjust and want to hear in context that is quite a ways into a long series of sub cues it would be nice to be able to skip right to that point and hear what is going on accurately instead of needing to cue up lots of sub cues and loose accuracy.

I'm planning to include this in SCS 11, mainly as a result of
this earlier request. The plan is that if you drag the progress slider of the first sub-cue in a cue, then SCS will endeavor to reposition the whole cue to the new position.
