As an SCS user doing live music productions I'm probably one of the people referred to who suggested this 'Exclusive Cue' feature. Yes, the main reason for requesting this was to avoid 'operator error' in hitting the space bar accidentally . . I think any feature aimed at safety during a performance is a boon. It was implemented as an option, and quite rightly so, as the feature would not be required for every type of production or indeed every Cue within a production.
As most users would be handling a great deal of Cues in a production a further suggestion to save laborious selection of each one could be a "Global Exclusive Cue' function. This could be a check box . . . For instance if the majority of Cues were to be Exclusive then the box would be checked and some individual Cues could be unchecked,or, if the majority of Cues were not Exclusive then the box would be left unchecked and some individual Cues could be checked . . . .
I think that makes sense . . . would love to hear some views on that.

There is a Production Property setting "Run Mode" which has linear and non-linear as options. There could be an additional "exclusive linear" run mode that forces all cues to be run in sequence.

Another option would be to add to the "Default Devices and Levels" section in the Production Properies panel. where you set defaults that get applied to each cue as you create them.

Either way, yes I would agree if you've created a production one way and then decide you want to change it, it would be easier to change a setting in a single global place and have it apply to all cues. However you may also want to globally change the device in this manner as well, so the requirement doesn't necessary just apply to the "exclusive cue" option.

Yeah . . some good thoughts there John. I'm not sure about vers 10.1 but I believe vers 10.2 covers the second suggestion you're making by having an 'Exclusive Cue' check box in the Cue Properties window for each Cue.
