I have same Open DMX, you can use it for receiving dmx when using male-male cable. Nice to hear about dmx issue going forward, let me know if you have any questions!

Anyone interested in DMX Control of SCS, please email me with information about what DMX interface equipment you have and if you will be able to conduct tests of DMX Control. I am currently testing a mod that will be in RC2 of SCS 10.4.2, which supports DMX Control via an ENTTEC DMX USB PRO. Kallek has already offered assistance in testing, and I'd like to have others test this as well, and provide suggestions for additional functionality.

DMX control now in SCS 10.5.0. Requires an Enttec DMX USB PRO.
